Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoc position in Applied Analysis, to begin in the Fall Term of 2024. The appointment is initially for one academic year, but it may be extended for one additional year, pending budgetary approval. Responsibilities include conducting research, teaching two courses each year, and participating in research seminars. Candidates from all areas of applied analysis are encouraged to apply. Required Qualifications: Completion of a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a closely related field is required prior to the start of the appointment. Applicants should have strong research potential and some form of experience teaching in mathematics.Application Instructions: A complete application consists of (1) a curriculum vitae, (2) a research statement, (3) a teaching statement; (4) at least three letters of recommendation by November 17.
