Job Description:

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Le Moyne College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin August 2024. The department seeks candidates in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related fields who are dedicated to undergraduate teaching excellence with a commitment to a strong research agenda at a comprehensive liberal arts institution, and who welcome opportunities for curriculum development, student advising, and mentoring. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory statistical courses as well as additional courses related to the successful candidate's area of expertise. Expectations are teaching 3 courses per semester, establishing a productive research program, and service within and outside of the college. Mentoring undergraduate students in research is highly encouraged. Le Moyne College offers strong support for undergraduate and faculty research.


Qualified candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree or in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field by the position start date. Candidates should also possess undergraduate teaching experience and evidence of an active research agenda.
