The Computer Science Department of Boston College seeks to fill two teaching faculty positions with the title Assistant or Associate Professor of the Practice of Computer Science. Appointment at a higher rank is also possible for candidates with extensive teaching experience beyond the Ph.D. These are full-time, non-tenure-track positions with a three-year renewable contract, to begin in the 2024 fall semester. The teaching load is 5 semester courses per year. Our priority is to hire outstanding teachers, who are capable of teaching both lower-division and upper-division levels courses, and who can contribute to our department's teaching environment. Preference will be given to candidates qualified to teach Computer Systems or Computer Organization (and related courses).
