Postdoctoral Position in Algebra

Applications are invited for a 16 month (12+4) postdoctoral position at the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna in the group of Dietrich Burde. The area is algebra and geometry, in particular Lie groups, Lie algebras and algebraic structures.

The position is funded by the Austrian Science Foundation FWF through the project "Affine geometry on Lie groups and Lie-algebraic structures".

Applications from candidates with expertise in Lie groups, Lie algebras, algebraic structures, representation theory and differential geometry are especially welcome. For details on the project see https://homepage.univie.ac.at/dietrich.burde/fwf.html

The salary will be in line with the standard personnel costs from the FWF, see https://www.fwf.ac.at/en/research-funding/personnel-costs
