The Department of Mathematics at Tufts University invites applicants for a postdoctoral fellow in applied and computational mathematics to start September 1, 2024. A PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field is required.

The fellow will work closely with Prof. James Murphy. Successful candidates will have research interests in one or more of the following subfields: applied and computational harmonic analysis, graph theory, high-dimensional statistics and probability, optimal transport, and machine learning. The position carries a 3 course per year teaching load. Research travel will be supported. The position will last two years, with the possibility of a third year.
