Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Mississippi invites applications to fill one tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning in August 2024. The applicant will be expected to teach two courses per semester and conduct a vigorous research program with the potential to attract external funding. In addition, the applicant selected should have the ability at the time of hire to direct doctoral research. A PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, earned no later than August 15, 2024, is required. We encourage applications from candidates in areas compatible with the current research interests of the department, including those with an applied or computational focus.
