The Institute for Theoretical Sciences was inaugurated at Westlake University on September 24^th, 2020. Professor Gang Tian was appointed to be the founding director. The institute aims to marshal talent around the globe and pioneer in theoretical research in a range of fundamental disciplines, including mathematics, theoretical physics, etc. The institute also carries out scientific research plan, project research, discipline construction and other related work independently. The Institute seeks exceptional scholars in all areas of Mathematics and Theoretical Physics.

Job Description

Position: Postdoctoral Fellow

Requirements:

1) Have obtained or about to obtain a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Theoretical Physics

2) Have a solid foundation in mathematics or theoretical physics.

Compensation and Benefits

The institute offers competitive compensation package commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. The annual income includes salary, housing allowance and support from local municipal government. Upon approval, the institute will also provide funding for post-doctors to work with leading experts in other schools in China and abroad on their research topics for up to one year. Applications for relevant projects and programs will be encouraged and supported. For post-doc(s) who are selected by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation or Advanced Programs of Zhejiang Province will be entitled to receive the same amount funds from the Hangzhou government.
