The Vanderbilt University Department of Mathematics invites applications for a special postdoctoral position affiliated with the Center for Noncommutative Geometry and Operator Algebras to begin in Fall 2024. This is a three-year appointment with a competitive salary, a teaching load of two courses per year, and a stipend to support research. The position is subject to continued funding through a US ARO research grant. We are seeking exceptional recent PhD recipients whose research interests lie at the interface of operator algebras, quantum computing and other areas of mathematical physics related to quantum information theory. The postdoctoral scholar will be mentored by Prof. Dietmar Bisch.
