The University has implemented a pilot program allowing employees to work either a compressed 4-day work week with extended workdays or may work from home one day a week. Participation is subject to Divisional Executive approval depending on operational need. The Stockton University Mathematics Program is seeking to fill a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for September 2024. A Ph.D. in mathematical sciences is required. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to excellent teaching in the Mathematics Program, as well as in the interdisciplinary General Studies curriculum. Interest or experience in teaching real analysis, complex analysis, or geometry is preferred. Additionally, a commitment to university service and continuing research activity is required. Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Teach introductory and advanced undergraduate mathematics courses • Teach courses in the interdisciplinary general studies curriculum • Excellent teaching and scholarship are expected. The teaching load is 12 hours each semester • Serve as an advisor to undergraduate students • Participate in service to the university, community, and discipline • Demonstrate, through past accomplishments and actions, the ability to support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student- centered vision and mission Required Qualifications • Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
