Position Description:    

The UNT Mathematics Department invites applications for a full-time lecturer position starting in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 courses/sections per semester during the academic year at UNT’s new branch campus in Frisco, Texas, the nation’s fastest growing city. The successful candidate will teach a wide variety of mathematics courses, including entry-level courses and calculus. An offer of employment for this position will be made dependent upon available funding.

Minimum qualifications: A Master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field, including at least 18 semester credit hours in graduate coursework with a MATH or STAT prefix, in hand or expected by August 2024. Candidates must have at least two years of experience teaching college-level, dual-credit, or Advanced Placement mathematics or statistics courses.

Preferred qualifications: Experience with project-based learning; experience teaching dual-credit courses; a record of team teaching, integration, and/or planning across the curriculum; past work within an interdisciplinary team or department; and a dedication to student retention.
