Position Description:

Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications (BIMSA) invites applications for two Chern Postdoctoral positions in all fields of mathematics, theoretical physics, computer science, and their applications. The position is open to mathematicians with outstanding promise in research who have recently completed or will soon complete a doctorate in mathematics or a related field.

The Chern Instructor positions are for three years, with possibility of a two year extension upon successful evaluation. Salaries are in the range RMB 400k - 550k (Approx. 55k USD - 75k USD) per annum, depending on qualifications. BIMSA also offers generous benefits including subsidized housing and health insurance.Most postdocs at BIMSA receive generous travel grants.

Exceptional Chern Instructors can be promoted to Assistant Professors during their appointment.

Ph.D. in one of the fields represented at BIMSA should be completed before the appointment begins.
