Appointments will be made at Assistant Professor (Grade 9) which, subject to satisfactory completion of a probationary period (5 years), leads to a tenured position.

Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent in mathematics or a closely related subject. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong track record of research excellence and will be able to lecture a range of courses in pure mathematics at undergraduate and masters-level. They will have the ability, or potential, to secure research funding to support their research vision and build a network of collaborators. The post-holder will be part of a world-leading department with strong interdisciplinary connections within Cambridge, the UK and internationally.

The Mathematics departments occupy a modern, purpose-built campus, also incorporating the Isaac Newton Institute. As well as relocation costs, start-up packages (up to 5 years) are provided to assist the post-holder in establishing their research in Cambridge. Regular sabbatical leave entitlement enables Faculty to focus on research and scholarship.
