Position Description
Algebraic Geometry, Postdoctoral Position in Mathematics
The Institute for Mathematics at Heidelberg University invites applications for two postdoctoral positions (2+1 years) in the field of algebraic geometry, starting fall 2024.
The main duty of the position is research within algebraic geometry or a closely related subject. The successful applicant will be part of the newly formed Algebraic Geometry group and will be mentored by Georg Oberdieck. For an overview of the future focus of the group, see https://people.kth.se/~georgo/. Duties also include some contribution to teaching activities.
The appointment usually will be made for a period of 2 years, with an extension by one additional year possible upon mutual agreement. Applicants must have obtained a doctoral degree in mathematics and demonstrate an outstanding potential in a relevant research topic.
To apply, submit a CV, list of publications, research statement, and three letters of recommendation to be uploaded via the MathJobs.Org website. Review of applications will begin on December 15, 2023.
