Up to four postdoctoral positions in Arithmetic Geometry, each for two years, funded by the Simons Collaboration on Perfection in Algebra, Geometry, and Topology (local PIs: Pierre Colmez and Wieslawa Niziol) are available at the IMJ-PRG. The successful candidates will be employed by CNRS, will work at Sorbonne Universite -- Jussieu, and are expected to start in the Fall of 2024. The positions have no teaching responsibilities and include funds for travel and for inviting visitors. Ideal candidates will have broad interests in Arithmetic Geometry and Number Theory. Successful candidates will be expected to vigorously pursue their research while at Sorbonne Universite and to actively integrate into mathematical activities there, as well as into the Simons Collaboration project, giving talks in working groups, participating in seminars and conferences, etc. Given the theme of the Simons Collaboration project, a strong p-adic component (p-adic Hodge Theory and/or p-adic Langlands correspondence) of the successful candidates’ research will be particularly welcome. The necessary application documents consist of the following. 1. A cover letter. 2. A detailed CV that includes a list of publications. 3. A research statement. 4. At least two and at most five letters of recommendation (sent by the recommenders). To receive full consideration, these documents should be emailed in PDF format to the address wieslawa.niziol@imj-prg.fr on or before January 10, 2024. Any questions or inquiries should be sent to wieslawa.niziol@imj-prg.fr as well. |
