Position:
The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics invites applications for a full- time, non-tenure track, 9-month postdoctoral position in the Department of Mathematics beginning in August 2024. The position is intended for a recent Ph.D. with outstanding potential in research and excellent teaching. This is a 3-year Lecturer position and carries an annual teaching load of three courses.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in applied mathematics, or a closely related field, before August 15, 2024, and have research interests in applications of computational fluid dynamics to mathematical biology.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will develop a research program under the mentorship of Dr. Herve Nganguia and may collaborate also with other faculty members within the department. They will contribute to the research in Dr. Nganguia’s laboratory and gain experience in supervision of graduate and undergraduate student researchers. Research travel will be supported, and the annual three-course teaching load will be structured to support the candidate’s professional development.
