Description:

The University of New Haven is seeking to fill a non-tenure track full-time faculty position in the Department of Mathematics beginning fall 2024. Teaching responsibilities could likely include Calculus courses, Statistics, Differential Equations and a variety of undergraduate level math courses in Applied and Computational Mathematics such as Numerical Analysis and Math Modeling. New hires are encouraged to work/collaborate with other departments such as Computer Science, Biology, or Engineering.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a PhD in Mathematics or Statistics with specialization in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, or related areas. Experience and knowledge in at least one of the computer-based statistical tools or programming languages such as Matlab/R/Python, and either experience in or demonstrated commitment to: teaching diverse student populations, student mentoring, effective instruction and active learning pedagogies are preferred.
