The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Brooklyn campus of St. Joseph’s University, New York invites applicants for a full-time Tenure-Track position in Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2024. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field. The department welcomes applicants from a variety of fields within mathematics, we are especially interested in those who can support the Computer Science major as well as an upcoming data science minor. Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of upper-level undergraduate mathematics courses. Candidates will be evaluated on their ability and enthusiasm to teach mathematics classes in a liberal arts environment, their potential to continue engaging in meaningful scholarship post-graduate school, and their commitment to serving the department and university. The teaching load is ordinarily 12 credits each semester.

At St. Joseph’s University, approximately one thousand undergraduate and graduate students are taught at our Brooklyn campus. Along with our Long Island campus in Patchogue and our Online campus, we are part of St. Joseph’s University, New York. At the Brooklyn campus, located in the tree lined neighborhood of Clinton Hill, we offer students over forty undergraduate majors, including robust programs in the sciences and health care, education, the liberal arts and writing.
