Position Description

University Assistant - Postdoc (40 hours/week), Institute of Mathematics from 01.09.2024, for 3 years. ID Number MIP-13977. Apply at the job portal

Main tasks: Independent research and qualified collaboration in research projects; Independent teaching; Participation in organisational and administrative tasks; Training and further education; Administrative tasks. Required qualifications: Completed doctoral/PhD studies or a defence of the doctoral/PhD studies in mathematics with a topic from probability theory, statistical mechanics or a closely related field planned before 01.09.2024; research experience in the field of probability theory, statistical mechanics or a closely related field; excellent English language skills; project management skills; creative problem-solving skills; independent work and high motivation; experience in dealing with students, ability to work in a team, willingness to communicate with colleagues.

Probability group in Innsbruck consisits of Ass. Prof. Alexander Glazman, (contact person for this position), Assoc. Prof. Ecaterina Sava-Huss, as well as a postdoc and four PhD students.
