Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for multiple Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor positions with a two-year appointment term that will begin on August 10, 2024. The successful applicant is expected to be an effective teacher and will have a 3-3 teaching load. Possible course assignments include but are not limited to single- and multi-variable calculus, linear algebra, and introduction to methods of proof. Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. or ABD in Mathematics or a closely related field at the time appointment begins (August 10, 2024). Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching experience. Ability to teach any of the following courses, including, but not limited to single- and multi-variable calculus, linear algebra, and introduction to methods of proof.
