Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Alabama invites applications for a non-tenure-track, lecturer position beginning in August 2024 in support of our bachelor’s degree programs. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions have been filled.

Teaching responsibilities will focus on General Education undergraduate mathematics courses with a standard teaching load of 15 credit hours per semester. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of online homework delivery and LMS systems. Furthermore, applicants should love to teach, have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, be willing to work as a collegial team member, and be able to serve on departmental committees.

The applicant must hold a master’s or doctoral degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or a related area by August 2024 with at least 18 hours of graduate mathematics coursework.
