Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at Trinity College invites applications for the Harold L. Dorwart Visiting Assistant Professorship in Mathematics. This is a three-year, non-renewable position, to begin July 1, 2024. It offers a competitive salary and modest monetary support for travel related to research and teaching development. The teaching load is four undergraduate courses per year. A Ph.D. in mathematics is required, along with evidence of superior teaching performance and a strong potential for research. Candidates who have the experience or potential of involving undergraduate students in their research will be given special consideration as will those whose research fits broadly into the areas of statistical learning or inverse problems. Trinity is an urban liberal arts college whose 2200 students represent many socio-economic, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds across the US and abroad. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate a clear commitment to undergraduate education and research in a diverse community.
