The Department of Mathematical Sciences at New Mexico State University invites applicants for a visiting position to be filled at the Visiting Assistant Professor level beginning August 2024 and ending May 2026. The position will support the teaching needs of the department; there is no research component. Individuals interested in contributing to a diverse academic community are particularly encouraged. 

Candidates must have a Master’s in Mathematics prior to August 2024 and a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching preparatory and undergraduate math courses; candidates with a Ph.D. in Mathematics prior to August 2024, excellent communication skills and a sustained demonstrated excellence in teaching at the preparatory level are preferred. Expected duties include teaching 4 courses per semester.
