Instructor in Mathematics Non Tenure-Track Position Wofford College invites applications for a three-year position as instructor of mathematics beginning in August 2024. At Wofford, faculty serve as teacher-scholars dedicated to the education and mentorship of undergraduates in a liberal arts tradition. EXPECTATIONS Applicants must possess either a master’s degree or a Ph.D. in mathematics at the time of appointment. The teaching load for this position is 4-0-4 (that is, 4 sections for the fall semester and 4 sections for the spring semester and no teaching requirement for the January Interim term) and will consist of courses from our calculus sequence and introductory statistics, with other courses possible depending on expertise and demand. The instructor is expected to participate in undergraduate advising as well as service to the Department of Mathematics and to the college. There is no expectation of scholarship in this position. The position is renewable by the provost every three years. This is a full-time position and includes benefits. Salary is competitive and based on training and experience.
