Position Description

The Macalester College Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science invites applications for a one-year non-tenure-track visiting position to begin Fall 2024. This position is renewable for an additional year, pending a review of teaching. Candidates must have or be completing a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field. Macalester provides an attractive environment for mathematicians. Our joint department offers majors in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, and Computer Science. We pride ourselves on our innovative courses, our close relationships with several client disciplines, and our vibrant record of conducting research with undergraduates. 


The Macalester teaching load is five courses per year. Salary and benefits are competitive. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
