Postdoctoral Positions in Mathematics

The Institute for Mathematics at Heidelberg University invites applications for two postdoctoral positions (2+1 years) in the field of arithmetic geometry and the Langlands programme and in the field of formalisation, starting in fall 2024 or earlier.

To apply you must hold a doctoral degree in mathematics and demonstrate strong background as well as outstanding potential in a relevant research topic such as arithmetic geometry, (families of) automorphic forms, the Langlands programme and p-adic geometry. One of the positions may be filled by a candidate with additional expertise in proof formalisation and with interest in formalising arithmetic geometry.

You will conduct independent and collaborative research in the relevant field and contribute to teaching activities. The initial appointment is for a period of 2 years. An extension by one additional year is possible upon mutual agreement. You will be mentored by Judith Ludwig (https://www.judith-ludwig.com/).
