The Department of Mathematics at Ohio University invites applications for a one-year academic position (from August 16, 2024, to May 15, 2025), with the role of Visiting Professor. Depending on departmental requirements, funding availability, and the candidate’s successful performance, there is a possibility of extending the position for up to two additional years. The expected teaching schedule is 4-5 classes per semester, not to exceed 16 credit hours per semester. Most classes will be in person.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related area by start date. Experience teaching undergraduate Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related area.

Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education or a closely related field.

Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate level.

Experience teaching courses considered equivalent to OHIO University undergraduate Mathematics courses under the State of Ohio’s OT36 transfer system.
