Position Description
Teaching Assistant Positions: Department of
Mathematics, Nanjing University, China
Description
The Department of Mathematics at Nanjing
University in China now have several non-tenure track teaching Assistant
Professor positions available. The minimum requirement is Ph.D. degree in any
field of pure and applied mathematics including related interdisciplinary
directions. The position is for an
initial term of 3 years, and is renewable upon review. The annual salary
is fixed ¥180,000 RMB (before Tax) with included
benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 360 hours
each year.
Nanjing University is one of the most
prestigious institutions of higher education in China. The Department of
Mathematics, founded in 1921, has built up a high reputation around the world
and has been highly recognized for its outstanding contribution to the higher
education and its enormous influences in many areas of mathematical researchers.

Qualifications
• Applicants should abide by the laws and
regulations of the People's Republic of China with enthusiasm of teaching and
scientific research.
• Good teaching ethics, adhere to academic
ethics, diligent working performance are required, with no criminal record or
punishment record for violating teaching ethics and academic ethics.
• Applicants should have a PhD degree in
Mathematics or Statistics.
• Approved candidates should have a
verified record of proper research skills with at least 1 published SCI paper.
• Approved candidates should be capable of
teaching core courses at undergraduate levels.
• Approved candidates are expected to
undertake at least 360 Class Hours/Year
and the scores for each tutored course evaluated by the students are expected
to be not less than 4.80 (full is 5.00).
