Position Description:
Bryn Mawr College Department of Mathematics Assistant Professor The Department of Mathematics at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2025. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics, but we will also consider candidates with doctoral degrees in other fields who have rigorous and broad training in statistics and experience applying statistics to real world data. Candidates must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by the start date. The successful candidate will show research potential and a serious commitment to teaching. The faculty member filling this position will develop and teach statistics courses at all levels, from introductory to intermediate and advanced level topics and will contribute to the College’s Data Science minor. We seek candidates who are interested in working with students on research projects involving real world data and who are excited to contribute to the department’s nationally recognized success in supporting women and students from underrepresented groups in mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to be a part of developing and teaching a diverse and inclusive curriculum, including interdisciplinary programs and other college-wide initiatives such as the 360 Program and the first-year Emily Balch Seminars.
