• Conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and mathematics.
  
• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms, with a focus on reinforcement learning, to solve challenging mathematical problems.
  
• Collaborate with other team members to advance the research program’s objectives.
  
• Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals and present at international conferences.
  
• Contribute to the mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students involved in the research program. 
  

• Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  
• Strong background in machine learning, particularly reinforcement learning.
  
• Demonstrated experience in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving. 
  
• A solid publication record in reputable scientific journals.
  
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Appointment starts at mutually agreeable date (contingent upon visa and work authorization if applicable)
• Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000
  
• One year appointment, renewable annually, for a maximum duration of three years, based on performance
  
• One-time allowance to assist with the move: $2,000
  
• Annual vacations: 21 days, not including Caltech Holidays
  
• Annual sick leave: 15 days
