Boston College Postdoctoral Position (Algebraic Geometry) The Department of Mathematics at Boston College invites applications for a post-doctoral (visiting assistant professor) position beginning Fall 2025. The position is intended for a new or recent Ph.D. with outstanding potential in research and excellent teaching. This is a 3-year Visiting Assistant Professor position, and carries a 2-1 annual teaching load. Research interests should lie within Algebraic Geometry, interpreted broadly. Candidates should expect to receive their Ph.D. prior to the start of the position and have received the Ph.D. no earlier than Spring 2023. A completed application should contain a cover letter, a description of research plans, a statement of teaching philosophy, a curriculum vitae and at least three letters of recommendation.
