Position Description

Colorado State University Department of Mathematics Two Assistant Professors in the areas of Combinatorics and/or Topology

The Department of Mathematics at Colorado State University invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professors in Combinatorics and/or Topology. The successful applicants must have a strong research program, as well as a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses as assigned by the Department Chair, as well as the continued development of an excellent and well-recognized research program. Service to the department, college, university and community is also encouraged.

Applicants should submit the following by November 3 at 11:59 p.m. MST: • a cover letter that addresses CSU; • a complete curriculum vitae; • a teaching statement, limited to 2-4 pages; • a research statement, limited to 3-6 pages plus bibliography references; • 3-5 letters of recommendation, with at least one addressing the candidate’s teaching; and • a 1-2 page personal statement on their contributions to diversity and inclusion.
