Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Algebra beginning Fall 2025. We particularly invite candidates whose research interests align with those of the department’s Algebra group, especially Algebraic and Arithmetic Geometry and Algebraic Combinatorics. Responsibilities include teaching three one-semester courses per year, maintaining a strong research program, and normal student advising and department and university service. A Ph.D. in Mathematics is required by the start of the appointment. Applicants should provide their CV, publication list, research and teaching statements, and arrange for four letters of recommendation one of which addresses teaching ability.
