Position Description:
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Florida seeks to fill one tenure-track position in the area of Probability and Stochastic Processes (broadly interpreted) at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 16, 2025. Candidates should have an established research program, a compelling plan for future research, the ability to supervise both graduate and undergraduate research, and a commitment to excellence in teaching. A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related field is required. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package. The successful candidate will join a vibrant department of approximately 60 faculty and 85 graduate students pursuing research in a broad array of pure and applied areas. Over the past several years the University has made significant investments in faculty and infrastructure, adding hundreds of new faculty lines and upgrading classroom and laboratory facilities.
