Primary duties of this position include teaching courses that serve a broad cross-section of the campus community as required courses of majors or as part of Foundations (general education) offerings. Most of the courses taught would be at the 100 and 200 level. The lecturer will have reassigned time from teaching for the work related to ALEKS PPL (Placement, Preparation, and Learning) and in-semester workshops and coordinating student workers for the department. Requirements: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field. Candidates with a Master's degree in mathematics will be considered if they demonstrate exceptional prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
