RTG themes include modeling in cancer biology, computational neuroscience, and mathematical epidemiology. Mathematical techniques include qualitative and numerical analysis of deterministic and stochastic dynamical systems, optimal control, network models, and machine learning. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in these areas. The researcher will work closely with project faculty as well as collaborators in partner health institutions on this research, and on mentoring undergraduate and graduate students involved in the project. Duties will also include teaching one to two courses per academic year. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The minimum qualification is an earned Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields. The appointment is for 3 years. Per funding requirements, only US citizens and permanent residents are eligible for this position. Strong preference will be given to applicants with a doctoral degree received in 2021 or after.
