Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 2025. Duties will consist of research and teaching in mathematics, as well as departmental service. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field at the time of appointment.

Preference shall be given to applicants in the research area of Algebraic Geometry; however, exceptional applicants in other areas of mathematics shall also receive consideration. Successful applicants will carry outstanding credentials in mathematical research and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
