Position Description
The Department of Mathematics of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) invites applications for a Departmental Postdoctoral position in applied mathematics, broadly construed. Departmental postdocs are expected to teach 3 courses per year, but also have extensive opportunities to pursue an individual research program. Applied mathematics at UNC-CH is characterized by strong interdisciplinary collaborations spanning the physical, biological, biomedical, pharmaceutical, social and data sciences. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a related field is required at the time of appointment. Evidence of prior research accomplishments and undergraduate teaching experience is requested.
