Norfolk State University: Mathematics Department Title: F0286 Assistant Professor Mathematics Position: The College of Science, Engineering, and Technology seeks applications for two (1) nine-month tenure-track positions in Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics starting Fall 2025 Responsibilities: Duties include teaching mathematics courses at all levels with commitment to academic excellence. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to advise students; develop the curriculum; establish and maintain a relationship with industry; serve on departmental, school, and university committees; and perform appropriate scholarly and service activities, demonstrate productive and active research with publications, presentations and grantsmanship. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Doctorate in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. 2. Commitment to academic excellence. 3. Record of teaching and scholarly achievement. 4. Evidence of research and grantsmanship. Preferred Qualifications: Computational skills, and understanding of and graduate experience in current trends in Data Science & Analytics. Salary/Rank: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
