Position Description
Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement Requirements The Department teaches a wide variety of courses, from general education through graduate level mathematics courses. In addition to serving our mathematics majors, we heavily support the engineering programs in the college. The current faculty in the department have research strengths in the areas of applied and computational mathematics, mathematics of materials, finite group theory, geometric combinatorics and mathematics education. Successful applicants would not be required to engage in research but are welcome to participate in research efforts. The successful candidates will be expected to teach 24 credits of entry-level mathematics in an academic year. Additional Position Information: Required Qualifications: Applicants must have at least a M.S. in Mathematics, or a closely related field, and be eligible to work in the USA. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching entry-level college mathematics. Experience coordinating multi-section courses.
