Position Description
Postdoctoral Faculty Position Department of Mathematics University of Nebraska-Lincoln The Department of Mathematics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a three-year non-tenure track NSF-funded RTG postdoctoral faculty position, starting in August 2025. The NSF requires RTG postdocs to be US citizens or permanent residents. Responsibilities include research, teaching two courses per academic year, and running a year-long research seminar, with the help of a research mentor, during the second year in the position. A competitive starting salary will be negotiated. UNL makes available reasonably priced life, health, and long-term disability insurance programs. Qualifications Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents and have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in mathematics or a closely related field or anticipate receiving their degree by August 2025. Preference will be given to candidates who have documented research activity and interests in commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, or related fields, and have a documented record of success in classroom instruction at the college level. The successful candidate will also have a commitment to an inclusive environment and working with diverse communities.
