Position Description
The Department of Mathematics, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, anticipates the appointment of one non-tenure-track visiting assistant professor, effective August 2025. This academic-year (10-month) position is for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal up to a total of 3 years, without further reappointment, pending availability of funding and satisfactory performance. The position is intended for a new or recent PhD with outstanding potential in research and excellent teaching. The expected teaching load is one course per semester. The position will require performing directed and independent research in the area of nonlinear waves and integrable systems.
