Position Description

The Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas (ICMAT – Institute of Mathematical Sciences) is offering a postdoctoral position for outstanding researchers in Mathematics in the area of Analysis and PDEs who wish to further their careers at ICMAT. Candidates should have a strong background in fields related to Partial Differential Equations, with a particular emphasis on fluid dynamics. The primary focus of this position is to rigorously address fundamental questions concerning the existence, uniqueness, stability, and long-time behavior of the Navier-Stokes and Euler equations for incompressible fluids, as well as related mathematical models. The duration of the contract will be 2 years with a starting date after September 1, 2025. Preselected applicants could be interviewed individually in due course.
