The Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University invites applications for two year postdoctoral position(s) with possible extension to a third year subject to availability of funding and satisfactory performance. The expected start date is August 16, 2025 and the end date is Jun 30, 2027. 

This opening is in Representation Theory aligning with research interests of Prof. Jonas Hartwig. This includes Lie algebras, quantum groups, Mickelsson-Zhelobenko step algebras; their representations and applications in mathematical physics.

The position has a 2-1 teaching load and a requirement to be involved with mentoring undergraduate students in research through the Iowa State Math Research Teams (ISMaRT, https://sites.google.com/view/ismart-iastate).
