Applications are invited for one postdoctoral fellow to begin on August 16, 2025 or sooner. Candidates must hold, or expect to obtain prior to the start date, a Ph.D. in applied mathematics, mathematics, computer science, or a closely related discipline. Candidates with an equivalent foreign degree are also welcome to apply.
The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with Dr. Andrew Horning and his research group in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at RPI, with a focus on the design and analysis of principled data-driven algorithms in scientific computing applications. Candidates with a strong background in numerical linear algebra, applied analysis, and computational mathematics will be given preference.
The position is a two-year fixed-term opportunity with no required teaching duties. The expected salary range is USD $65,000 – $70,000 annually and additional limited funding for travel and equipment is available.
