Postdoctoral position in theory of Machine learning and AI We invite applications for a postdoctoral position at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Rutgers University--Newark, within a research project on theoretical foundations for machine learning and AI. We specifically seek an individual with strong mathematical training and interests in applying their expertise to machine learning and AI. We will consider candidates from any mathematical background with an emphasis on pure mathematics. Some connection to areas of probability would be helpful. The project is directed by Dr. Patrick Shafto. The start date is flexible, but we would prefer an individual who would be available start in summer 2025. The position would be for one year, with the possibility of renewal pending availability of funds. We will begin considering applications on a rolling basis starting February 21, 2025.Application Materials Required:
