Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Radford University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Mathematics starting August 2025. All areas of mathematics will be considered, but preference will be given to applicants with expertise in Analysis or Algebra. Undergraduate research is central to the mission of Radford University. The teaching load is three courses per semester, with candidates also expected to develop a student-centered research agenda. Teaching may include introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses as well as graduate courses. Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and university service.

Required Qualifications: Ability to teach courses that may include introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses as well as graduate courses. Successful record in research with an ability to develop a student-centered research agenda. Earned doctorate in mathematics or closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications: All areas of mathematics will be considered, but preference will be given to applicants with expertise in Analysis or Algebra.

Education: Applicants should have an earned doctorate in mathematics or closely related field conferred by the time of appointment.
