Position Description

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Mount Allison University invites applications for a 9-month position to teach Mathematics. Candidates must have an MSc or PhD in Mathematics (PhD preferred) and have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.

The successful candidate will teach four on-campus undergraduate courses in Mathematics in the 2025-2026 academic year, which are provisionally planned to be: Linear Algebra (Math 2221) and Multivariable Calculus (Math 2111) in the fall term, and Applied Calculus (Math 1151) and Differential Equations (Math 2121) in the winter term. Applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching experience and interests, and letters from three referees with at least one (preferably two) addressing teaching skills. In their cover letter, applicants should comment on their preparedness to teach the courses described above.

The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on August 1, 2025, subject to budgetary approval.
