Position overview
The Mathematical Sciences Institute is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Fellow (Level A) or Research Fellow (Level B). This position is funded by two Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery projects awarded to Neil Trudinger and Po-Lam Yung. The primary aim of the positions is to carry out the research programme proposed for the Discovery projects.

This will be done in collaboration with the two investigators above and a range of Australian and international collaborators. The projects involve the study of fully nonlinear partial differential equations and their geometric and physical applications, using various approaches including, in particular, those from harmonic analysis.

Further details of the proposed projects can be obtained upon request to Neil.Trudinger@anu.edu.au, and PoLam.Yung@anu.edu.au.

The level of this appointment, Academic Level A or B, will be determined by the appointee’s level of experience and expertise. This role is based in Canberra, however working remotely within Australia may be considered.

Applicants are expected to have an outstanding record in research relative to opportunity, in a field directly relevant to the two projects mentioned above. The ARC grant provides for some funding for international travel for successful applicants to attend conferences and workshops, and to conduct collaborative research with international colleagues.
