Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at Bilkent University is offering postdoctoral research positions in the research group of Assistant Prof. Cihan Okay as part of the "Homotopical Quantum Computation" project, funded by the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research.

The position is part of a research program exploring the mathematical foundations of quantum information, with particular interest in topological, combinatorial, and optimization-based methods. Candidates with expertise in quantum information theory, algebraic topology, polyhedral combinatorics, graph theory, and optimization are strongly encouraged to apply. This position does not include any teaching responsibilities.

The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance, conduct, and funding availability. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary, a travel allowance, and benefits, including private health insurance and complimentary furnished housing on campus.
