The Mathematics Department at Stonehill College seeks candidates for a full-time one-year position to begin in Fall 2025. The department offers a B.S. in mathematics as well as a B.A. in mathematics for double majors in education. In addition, the department also offers a B.A. in actuarial mathematics and contributes to an interdisciplinary program in data science. The successful candidate will join a department of five full-time faculty with a wide range of disciplinary expertise and a commitment to fostering diversity among faculty and students. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Primary teaching responsibilities include calculus and precalculus courses. Other courses will be determined based on the candidate’s expertise. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to our programs in data science or actuarial mathematics. Education and Experience Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline. We seek applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching, and preference will be given to those who have some undergraduate teaching experience.
